so another week has gone by.
most of it has been filled with gloomy/rainy/freezing weather sadly, so we've filled up that time with eating out (or just huddling inside the dorms) and watching movies we bought (i've managed to see "atonement", "marie antoinette", "elizabeth", "27 dresses", "there's something about mary", and "good will hunting" in the 2 weeks i've been here)
on the brighter side, it seems like there won't be any more problems with classes =) (though i had to fight tooth and nail for them). so far it seems like i'm taking:
3 business courses- multinational corporations, foreign trade and investment in china, and current asian finance
2 linguistics courses- bilingualism, pragmatics
1 cantonese language class for exchange students
the canto class is a "maybe" right now, since eap requires us to take 27 hku units, but i'm currently at 30...which is going to transfer back to like 16/17 semester units! -__- i think i can some p/np though, so we will see. and i have fridays off - which leaves more time for traveling!

sat. night we went out to celebrate "australia day" in lkf, so that was pretty fun! they had a lot of different aussie decorations around the area, and it was nice meeting other students/people. they played "low" and "soulja boy", so i'm glad bay area/ca music has made it over here, ahahaa.
well, got to run off to class now! we're planning some trips this semester, hopefully to different parts of china, japan (to see cherry blossoms!), korea, and maybe one of those tropical islands just for a weekend. :) ta-ta!

at warwick i'm technically in 2 qtrs though.. so maybe it's a little diff at hku cuz you don't have to stay there for as long.
