back
so...i've been back for a week now, and the first 3 days were spent in a feverish daze. i don't know what happened exactly, but i managed to contract something RIGHT BEFORE i got on the plane (ok, maybe 3 hours before), and i ended up getting a fever on the plane and hallucinating! that was pretty bad...(i did take medicine but the smarter thing to do would have been to ask the flight attendants for a temperature thermometer -.-)
i guess the bright side is that i managed to get over my jet lag in a matter of 2-3 days because i pretty much slept through my first weekend back in cerritos...talk about NOT ending your studying abroad semester with a bang, haha.
been meeting up with people this week though as i slowly unpack (yes i need to actually finish unpacking, i've been in quite a daze since i got back and feeling rather unproductive sad to say)...kristin was kind enough to bring me some homemade paella earlier this week, and tammy n. came to visit afterwards and we tried out a korean noodles place right next to tofu house...pretty good stuff! then met up with evelyn and alice at yi tiao long for lunch on wed, did some shopping w/ kristin on thurs (the fashion this summer has not been too impressive), and visited john in irvine w/ rahul, milan, and evelyn yest.
rahul mentioned that he wasn't quite getting the "i just studied abroad!!" vibe from me, but i've been asking a few people i met this semester abroad who are back and they never knew there was supposed to be a vibe either! i guess that's usually when you go somewhere COMPLETELY new or brimming with culture-shocks...and hong kong wouldn't exactly fit that description, i suppose. :)
however, i do need to start looking at my pics and creating a list of "stories" to tell...i feel like that whole semester just happened yesterday, and yet i can't recall the details. :( if it works out, i'm seriously considering doing a travel study program to spain the summer after graduating...now THAT would be amazing. :)
ohs well...watching "sex and the city" later today with ttarn...time to playyy! :)
